BIOCYCLIC PARK P.C., Kalamata, Greece, is offering a series of workshops titled “Phytoponic Composting & Biocyclic Humus Soil Generation”. These workshops are intended for composters, farmers, gardeners, and others interested in learning about the processes behind Phytoponic Composting and the generation of Biocyclic Humus Soil as part of the terra plena project.
The workshops will cover the techniques involved in generating Phytoponic Culture Substrate (PCS) and the development of Biocyclic Humus Soil, a nutrient-rich organic material that has demonstrated potential in improving crop yields and soil health. Participants will learn practical methods for producing and refining PCS, as well as the importance of carbon stabilisation in compost windrows, using permaculture and raised bed gardening techniques.
Workshop Topics:
- Introduction to Phytoponic Composting: Methods for generating Phytoponic Culture Substrate (PCS) and its role in Biocyclic Vegan Agriculture
- Biocyclic Humus Soil Generation: Understanding how this soil can serve as an alternative to animal manure and improve plant nutrition
- Practical Training: Application of cultivation techniques to promote carbon stabilisation in compost systems
- Scientific Research: Insights into the latest studies and technologies developed in collaboration with institutions such as the Agricultural University of Athens and the National Technical University of Athens
The next workshop will take place at Biocyclic Park in Kalamata, Greece, from 9 to 12 April 2025 and will be held in German.
